Richard Jacks

Meteorologist

Richard Jacks is the NBC 13 morning meteorologist.

He was born and raised in Talladega and graduated from Talladega High School in 1990. Jacks graduated from Mississippi State's Broadcast Meteorology Program in 1995.

Jacks' first television job was in Talladega at a local cable station. He then moved on to the CBS affiliate in Anniston where he served as weekend weather forecaster.

In less than two years Jacks moved to Birmingham and worked at the local CBS affiliate (what was then WBMG-TV). In the summer of 1997 Jacks joined the NBC 13 First Alert Storm Team.

Jacks is an aviation enthusiast and occasionally flies as he works towards his pilot's license.

Jacks is a member of the Advent Episcopal Cathedral Choir.
